Hosta Captain Kirk (Hosta 'Captain Kirk')

Description:
Hosta Captain Kirk (Hosta 'Captain Kirk') is a striking perennial known for its bold, variegated foliage. Large, heart-shaped leaves feature bright golden centers surrounded by wide, deep green margins, creating a dramatic pop of color in shade gardens. The gold centers emerge chartreuse in spring, deepen to gold in summer, and may turn ivory as the season progresses. In midsummer, tall stalks rise above the mound, bearing pale lavender to purple, bell-shaped flowers that attract hummingbirds and pollinators. Captain Kirk is an improved sport of ‘Gold Standard,’ offering thicker leaves, increased sun tolerance, and excellent performance as a specimen, border, or container plant.
